In May 2019, Rob posted some thumbnail sketches he'd done to Instagram:

Thumbnails, thumbnails, thumbnails. Looking for the image. Narrowing it down. Working on a piece based on Robert McCammon's novel of hippy horror: Mine. Acid damage. Guns. Radicalism, and a stolen Baby! #mine #robertmccammon#aciddamage #hippiegonewrong#horrornovel #paperbacksfromhell#maryterror #wip

I asked him to send me the final pieces, and these were the results. You can see more of Rob's work on his Instagram account.

On October 31, 2026, Rob posted a new MINE image:

Mary Terrel AKA Mary Terror! Member of the '60s radical group Stormfront Brigade. The sixties and seventies ended but Mary never sold out and never gave up the fight, but she did do way too much acid and loves her babydolls and her 357 magnum and holy shit! She just stole a baby from the hospital, to bring to the former Stormfront leader...unbeknownst to him.

This is from the novel Mine by Robert R McCammon. I've done a couple other drawings inspired by this novel. Recently I was going through my sketchbook and had to follow up on one more idea. This one is a little smaller and all in pencil. I'm getting into these pencil drawings. So much fun and if you need to make correction you have an eraser!
